Welcome to the Good Music Village!
The year is 2020. We've battled through losing Kobe and Pop Smoke and now most of the world is struggling to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. Its literally only March. Babies are crying. Houses are burning. In the distance, sirens. The future seems desolate and grey. It looks like life is headed in a steady, downward slope...and then, just as we begin to adjust to this post-apocalyptic lifestyle, Lil Uzi decides to bless us with 32 new songs. Don Toliver shows off the knowledge his sensei, Travis Scott, has imparted in him. Jay Electronica reminds us why he is widely regarded as one of the pillars of hip-hop. You put on your headphones and press play. The storm clears. The sun comes out. And in that moment, as you listen to Uzi hypnotically chant "Balenci " over a cocktail of astral synth and soul-saving bass, you wipe away a tear and realise everything will be okay.

Welcome to the Good Music Village - a blogspot dedicated solely to the lifeline that is music. I'm really excited that I took the leap and created this platform! I have so many plans for this forum, most of which will hopefully unfold as the year goes on. I've been wanting to start a blog for ages now but I didn't think my life was anything to write home about, so of course the next logical thing was for me to dedicate this blog to one of the only things I'm certain I'm passionate about - music. You can look forward to music reviews, recommendations, interviews with different people in the industry and (hopefully) performances too! I don't particularly want to confine myself to a posting schedule just yet but I will endeavour to make sure the content is at least semi-regular. Additionally, I will be putting out a cute 10 track playlist of songs I like every month - not necessarily new songs, but songs I've been enjoying listening to over that past month. They will be out on the 16th of every month, so stay tuned! I may drop other playlists I've made from time to time as well, so watch out for those too.
If you like what you read and want to stay up to date, make sure to subscribe and share. Onwards & upwards guys.
